DAY 1: GUWAHATI-SHILLONG

Once the summer capital of British Assam, Shillong combines history, culture, and natural beauty. Its lively markets, colonial-era churches, and cultural festivals reflect a vibrant mix of Khasi, Jaintia, and Garo traditions. Shillong is also a gateway to Meghalaya’s famous waterfalls, caves, and rolling green hills. Shillong offers a unique blend of serenity and city life, making it a must-visit destination in Northeast India.
Arrive in Guwahati and drive to Shillong (4 hours). Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong- CHERRAPUNJI

Cherrapunji—also known locally as Sohra—is famous for its breathtaking landscapes, lush green hills, deep valleys, and mist-laden cliffs, it is one of the wettest places on Earth, earning it a unique charm that captivates nature lovers. Cherrapunji is renowned for its living root bridges, natural waterfalls, and stunning viewpoints. The region is rich in Khasi culture, offering visitors a glimpse into traditional village life alongside its extraordinary natural beauty.
Drive to Sohra village (3 hours) and check-in to the hotel. Later visit Wei Sawdong Waterfall, is one of Meghalaya’s most spectacular and photogenic waterfalls, located near Mawlynnong village in the East Khasi Hills. Famous for its three-tiered cascading structure, the waterfall plunges gracefully into crystal-clear pools, creating a mesmerizing natural spectacle surrounded by lush greenery, and then go on to visit Mawsamai Cave, Stretching over 100 meters, Mawsmai Cave is relatively easy to explore, making it accessible for both casual tourists and adventure enthusiasts. Renowned for its stalactites, stalagmites, and narrow rock formations, the cave offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s geological wonders. Overnight in Cherrapunji

DAY 3: CHERRAPUNJI

The Double Decker Living Root Bridge is one of Meghalaya’s most extraordinary natural wonders, located in the lush forests near Cherrapunji (Sohra). Unlike conventional bridges, this is a living structure made entirely from the roots of the Ficus elastica tree, carefully guided and intertwined by the local Khasi tribe over decades. Reaching the Double Decker Root Bridge involves a moderate trek through scenic trails, waterfalls, and forested hills, offering an immersive experience of Meghalaya’s natural beauty. It is a must-visit for adventure seekers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts eager to witness one of the world’s most remarkable living structures.
Today, leave early morning and trek the double decker root bridge which is the highlight of Meghalaya. Later return and visit Double drive waterfall. Overnight in Cherrapunji.

DAY 4: Cherrapunji - Shillong

Leave in the morning for Shillong, On the way back visit Laitlum Canyon and Elephant Falls A three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Overnight in Shillong

Day 5 Shillong

Wake up early in the morning to catch sunrise at Nongjrong, a serene village in Meghalaya, India, known for its lush greenery, rolling hills, and tranquil rural charm. Later visit Krang Shuri Waterfalls, a hidden gem, Known for its scenic beauty and pristine environment, the waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests, rolling hills, and traditional Khasi villages. The waterfall cascades gracefully over rocky terrain into a natural pool, offering visitors a serene spot to relax, take photographs, or simply enjoy the soothing sounds of flowing water. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 6: Departure

Leave for Guwahati airport for the departure flight.
